I was inspired to read Keith’s book again after a couple of recent conferences. With a few more conferences on the horizon, I wanted a refresher on networking best practices and make sure I had the right mindset going in. I was invited to speak at the conferences and really looked to build new relationships.

Along with How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, I consider this one of the top networking books around. Everyone needs to learn how to build relationships if they want to experience success with their business, and this book helps you discover how to do that without all of the negative stuff that sometimes latches onto the word “networking.” To Keith, networking is all about doing it in a socially healthy and mutually beneficial way, which is the right way to do it. When you come from a place of genuine care and interest and provide value to others with that as your inspiration, your connections will provide value back to you in one way, shape, or form.
