According to Pat in his first episode of the Smart Passive Income podcast, passive income is defined as building online businesses that take advantage of systems to allow transactions, cashflow, and growth to happen without requiring you to be present.
In other words? Work hard now so you can reap the benefits later.
Calling all content creators, service providers, personal brands, and digital product creators
SPI is ushering in a new era of internet business and marketing. And no, this isn’t about AI-ifying everything so you can make more money while you sleep.

When you think of a business with an email list of close to 100k, you probably wouldn’t guess that you’d get a reply if you emailed…but around here? We do just that.
I care so deeply about you, the person on the other side of the screen. And your experience matters more to me than the sale.
In fact, in my first week of being the new owner of SPI, I told the team that our number one priority wasn’t sales, but customer experience. Everything we do is filtered through the lens of “how will this make you feel?” and that is reflected in the ways we connect with you online and in-person.
Be Kind, No Exceptions
Inside the SPI Community, there’s no such thing as a “silly question” and we don’t tolerate rudeness disguised as advice or tough love.
We are all in this together, and we act that way. Each one of you is a valued member of the community and we love having you around.
And that’s just how we act.
If you don’t have a lot of love and empathy for others and for your audience, you won’t fit in around here.

At SPI, we don’t let fear get in the way of action because we know we can learn from our mistakes. And we openly share our failures on the podcast, in the community, and to our newsletter readers.
Everything we do is an experiment and we approach it with curiosity because we know there will always be something to learn from the experience.
When our community members do something and it doesn’t work for them, we’re right there to help you debrief and make a plan for next steps.

Around here, we are a team. In fact, we call ourselves Team WIN and we focus on having as many of them as possible.
No, that doesn’t mean we’re all making six or seven figures and having millions of views and growing huge email lists.
But it does mean we are focused on What’s Important Now…so at the end of each day, we know we’ve accomplished something that mattered.
It’s a fact that when we share our goals with each other, we are more likely to hit them.
Community isn’t just a Facebook group or Circle log in around here. It’s shared

Because when smart, generous people (just like you!) stop competing and start helping each other… magic happens.
