That’s the proven path to success
I didn’t get to where I am overnight. It’s been a long road filled with lots of hustle and my fair share of mistakes. And yet, through persistence and passion, I’ve managed to build something amazing—something I never thought possible when I first launched SPI.
You can do that too. It’ll take hard work. And it won’t happen overnight. So, don’t look at my income numbers and think, “I could never do that.” That’s not the point of my income reports. The point is to share that amazing success and growth is possible, if—and only if—you put in the time and effort to build it using strategies and tactics that actually work.

Your earnings are a byproduct of how well you serve your audience
My yearly goals are rooted in this critical lesson
You always need a plan. Focused goals serve as that plan. Plans change, of course. Change is okay. Not having goals…well, that’s not okay because how else are you going to know if you’re making progress? And is that progress in the direction that you want to go?
To keep me on track, I create my goals in a framework called—wait for it—S.M.A.R.T, which stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely. As you dig my Goal Plans from years gone by, you’ll see how this framework helped me avoid distractions and seize upon the opportunities that were truly important to me, my family, and my business.

To know where you're going, look back at where you've been
Annual reviews can help light the way forward
It’s so valuable to look backward at what worked and what didn’t, especially while the learnings are still fresh in your mind. That’s why I always conduct an annual review. It keeps me honest and helps me get better at the things that matter most.
In my opinion, annual reviews shouldn’t pull punches. If you’re too easy on yourself, you won’t learn and grow. That’s why my annual reviews showcase the good, the bad, and (occasionally) the ugly. By thinking critically about this stuff, I find that my vision for the coming year is so much clearer and more exciting! That’s part of the magic when you study and learn from your experiments.
I hope my annual reviews inspire you to begin conducting your own.
