Congrats on launching the new podcast, Pat. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you, but the key is consistency. Keep at it and you’ll get better and better each episode.

Also, celebrate successes, both the small ones and the big ones. I’m up to episode 114 on my show, and at Episode 100, meaning I had done a show every week for nearly 2 years, I threw a big party for all my friends and guests that had been on. It was awesome. Listening back to the first dozen episodes makes me cringe, but now I can crank them out in no time.

Can’t wait to listen.

Thanks!

Pat July 19, 2010 at 11:39 pm

Hey JT – thanks for the inquiry. I’m still trying to figure out how best to do the feeds, and still awaiting iTunes to approve the show. If you go to the podcasting page on the blog (http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/category/podcast), you’ll see a link to the non-iTunes RSS feed at the top. I’ll probably add all of the relevant feeds at the bottom of the next session.

Well done!! Saw it on iTunes as well. It’s comforting to know that even you can take time to get to something. Don’t tell me you do all this on 5 days work a week!! You are misleading folks like me who can get discouraged because we are so dumb and so slow. Ok, I get there eventually and it takes subborness and determination for years.. not days nor hours.
But you are still the best as far as I am concerned.

Hey Pat,

Congratulations on achieving another goal. I will continue to listen and learn. I wanted to share a point with you that you may not have considered. I have a friend who will not read but he will listen to audiobooks. He recently bought a nano and so I introduced him to the free audio books that are available through our local library. Turns out he has a friend who is the very same way, and he called that friend to tell him about the free audio books available. So here is a guy who would probably never read your blog but would most certainly listen to your podcast, so I am going to share it with him. You have reached a market you probably never thought about. We are a couple of old guys who are always talking about ways to make money, and so this will be right up our alley and give us something to talk about when we get together every week.

Hey Pat,

I just found out about your blog from a guy I met yesterday at a local IM meetup.

Anyway, your story really resonates with me. I used to be in architecture myself as well. I graduated from ASU last year with my M.Arch. Of course there aren’t any architecture jobs, and I’m too “over educated” to get a different job, so I started working online.

Great podcast! I’ll definitely come back to your blog here and read / listen to what you’ve got to say.

Take Care,
Clayton
