Love Everyday – An eBook Project

As many of you know, I’m in the middle of a move. We’re about 90% complete, so look for some killer posts next week when I finally get settled into my new office.

By the way, if I see another can of paint, I’m going to go crazy!

LOVEveryday_Pink_Cover1Even though I don’t have much time to write new content today, I do have something awesome to share with you.

Dustin, my friend over at Engaged Marriage, has worked really hard the last couple of months putting together a free eBook, which is a compilation of pieces about Love from some of the best relationship writers on the web. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and if you didn’t know (I didn’t), this week is actually National Marriage Week.

Who knew!

Anyways, although I’m not a relationship blogger, I was honored to be asked to contribute a piece to this eBook. As you know, family is my number one priority and the motivation behind all the work I do online, so I happily accepted the offer.

Even if you’re not in a relationship, I invite you read the eBook, which again is totally free, and you don’t even need to subscribe to any newsletters or anything like that. If you read my piece, which is on lucky page #13, I’m sure you’ll find that what I wrote is something that can be applied to anything in life, not just your relationships, but with your businesses, goals, dreams and hopes.

So check out Love Every Day (on scribd), and look out for my piece on page 13. I hope you enjoy! And Dustin, if you’re reading this, post – job well done!

Thanks everyone for your patience as I situate myself into a new workspace. All the best to you!

I didn’t also know till now that there’s a “National Marriage Week”. But, it’s really nice to know about it. I’ve been married for 25 years already and this really sounds interesting for me. Will definitely check this out!

Hey Pat! Thanks so much for your kind words, and thank you for your awesome contribution to this project. I need to say that I was only one of three folks who decided to pursue this idea after we read Seth Godin’s “What Matters Now” (more on that in my Love Everyday announcement post at Engaged Marriage). I just happened to know one of our VIP writers…you! :)

Thanks again for your help and for spreading the word about this totally FREE e-book. To anyone else that reads this, please share “Love Everyday” with everyone you know and give it a shout-out on your social networks.

Thanks!

Hey Pat (and Dustin),

great stuff here. There definitely needs to be more of this sort of content out today. The feelings of love surrounding Valentine’s Day are great. but our world would be a better place if we spread the love everyday as you propose.

Keep up the good work.

I’m not married, heck I have a hard enough time just sustaining dating relationships, but I will definitely take a read of this book in hopes to gleaning information from the inside track to finding that ultimate lasting relationship.

Thanks and yes the #13 is very lucky! :)

This is awesome. I’ve been married for almost 13 years and trust me, it isn’t always pretty. BUT, utilizing information like this amazing ebook and continually working at it is the key. Don’t give yourself an out unless one of you is in danger of killing the other. There have been many times that either my husband or I have wanted to leave, but we cooled off, talked it out and moved on from there. Congrats on the new place,Pat! I hope to be moving at the end of the year. 6 people, 1 bathroom-enough said.

Thanks again to everyone for your kind words here and on my site!

I thought you fellow bloggers/SPI followers would be interested in a few stats. In addition to the Scribd site, the e-book is available for download in two other locations. In TWO days, the current stats are:

- More than 16,000 reads
- More than 2,000 downloads

Of course, many more folks have read the e-book through emails, slideshows hosted on individual sites, etc. I think this is shaping up as a great example of the powerful marketing potential of quality, free content that spreads through social media.

By the way, my blog subscribers have increased by 15% and I’ve seen a nice increase in traffic since this launched on Tuesday. And I’m only 1 of 27 featured writers. Fun stuff!

Pat your part is the shortest of all, but it made me think a lot. It’s a wonderful and timely project.

So what are you waiting for? Go out there and make a difference!

Hi Pat,

I just finished reading your contribution to this e-book and I have to say I love this line from you: “Signs aren’t always things that happen. More often than not, signs come from the things that don’t happen.” sort of what I needed to hear right now without even realising it.

I’m really enjoying this read, what a lovely compilation! Thanks for the heads up on the e-book :)

Cheers,
Aise
