  1. SPI 093: How to Make Next Year the Best Year Ever! Goal Setting, Resistance, and Priorities with Michael Hyatt

In this session of The Smart Passive Income Podcast, I’m extremely happy to welcome Michael Hyatt from MichaelHyatt.com to the show!

Michael is a leader of leaders. In 2005, he was appointed CEO of Thomas Nelson, a publishing company that was founded in 1798 with a rich history and a huge portfolio of best-selling books, including one of Michael Hyatt’s own, Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World.

I had the pleasure of meeting Michael for the first time this past February after being invited to speak at the very first Platform Conference, and since then I’ve become a huge fan of his. He is one of the most genuine and authentic leaders I know, and within the first minute of the interview you’ll hear just how nice of a guy he is.

With 2014 just around the corner and goal setting in our minds, I wanted to bring Michael on the show to talk about how to really conquer the things we set out to achieve. I ask him a lot of tough questions and without surprise, Michael gives some of the best answers I’ve ever heard about these topics.

After I conducted the interview, and after re-listening to the episode again yesterday, my energy levels are high and my gears are spinning like crazy – and I’m sure yours will too.

More specifically, in this session you’ll find out about: (more…)

  2. My 2011 Goal Post

2011 Goal PostAs many of my long time followers will know, I love to announce what I’m up to here on the blog. It’s one of my “tricks” for getting me to take action and reach my goals because I feel like if I tell you what I’m going to do, I’ll do whatever I can not to let you down.

In 2010, it worked for starting my newsletter, finally delivering a podcast, my record traffic numbers, the Niche Site Duel and P90x (among other things) – and I’m sure it’ll work in 2011 as well.

Some things in 2011, naturally, will happen unplanned, but I have a lot of great things on the horizon I’d like to share with you today. Per my latest podcast episode, Mind Hacks, Physical Hacks and Work Hacks For Better Productivity And Getting Things Done, I’ll be creating S.M.A.R.T. goals which, as a reminder, are goals that are: (more…)

  3. 22 Take Action Ways to Be a Remarkable Blogger

Become Remarkable“The key to getting started down the right path of being remarkable in anything is to simply act with the intention of being remarkable.”

This is a quote by Chad Fowler, CTO of InfoEther, in Tim Ferriss’s new book, The 4-Hour Body. Tim highlights Chad because after being obese for over a decade, he lost 70 pounds in less than a year, which is truly remarkable.

Although the parts of the book I’ve read so far are mainly about achieving extraordinary and amazing results with our bodies (like rapid weight loss, superhuman strength, holding our breath for 5 minutes, etc.) there are a lot of wonderful gems, like the quote above, which can be applied to other things in our lives, like our businesses and blogs. 4. The Path to an Audi R8 (Or Anything Else You Want)

Most of you know that family is my number one priority, especially with the recent birth of my son who is now 25 days old. Most, if not all of the decisions I make from now on are done so with him in mind.

audi-r8However, I’m still a dude, and dudes love their toys. My dream toy is an Audi R8, a car that I first saw in a commercial during the 2008 Super Bowl. I don’t remember the score of the game, or even where it was played, but I do remember that car. I’ve wanted it ever since.

To quote Left Lane News, the Audi R8 has “…a 420 horsepower high-revving V8 engine and all-wheel-drive. It uses the mid-engine Lamborghini Gallardo platform positioning it squarely against the BMW M6, Porsche 911, and Aston Martin Vantage.”

The base price for this bad boy is $114,200 USD. (more…)
