Hi Todd – in not sure if you can do this with site builder, but with WordPress you can setup a secondary login and password, different from your primary login information, that a Virtual Assistant can log into with certain restrictions. If sitebuilder doesn’t have this capability, you’d have to trust who you hire on elance, which is possible through previous customer feedback and such, but I understand your concern. Good luck!

Hi Pat, could use a bit of help. I use sitebuilder for my website. It has hosting, blockbuilding for the site and is basically an all encompassing site. The only way I can get on is with my username and password. How can I get an elance person on without giving away my login info?

hey pat, thanks for being so generous with your information. what a relief to finally come across a genuine person willing to “pull back the curtain” without the hard sell right out of the gate. i’m truly inspired.

regarding your experience with elance, would you share who you worked with for the seo optimization? i’ve tried elance for other projects but was quite dissappointed with the end products so now admittedly a little gun-shy. it would be great to have a direct referral.

I couldn’t remember where I placed my comment the other day about Michael who created your site.

Maybe you have an advice for the following?
I just started a bid on elance as I want to get started with the design of my blog. I started a bid now solely for the logo, nothing else. Is that the wrong approach and maybe I should bid out the whole package, from logo to wordpress theme and coding etc? Because now I don’t know what color the logo should have as I don’t know the color of the theme (although the people at elance so far say that changing the color of the logo later on isn’t an issue). I don’t even have the title of my blog-to-be yet which makes it impossible to connect the logo with a title, as you have on your site, for example. How did you go about that with Michael? I think you had him do everything, right?

I am just wondering, what’s the best way to get started here in order not to miss out on anything later on or pay twice because I did it in the wrong order. As I know that your time is very limited, I would be more than fine if you’d send me a simple bulleting list in the order that you’d use, no time consuming content needed

I wrote article too (in name link) THIS IS AWESOME article. Mine was much simpler as I have not gone through what you have. Might jump in soon though. You gave some mighty good info. For me I was just working with graphic artist for our new ehow group avatar and it was a lot easier than I thought. The TIME TIME TIME that it saved was tremendous. I can see a value in outsourcing big projects like your webpages .
