    Pat,

Just finished reading the ebook. I quite like the 3 column design of it, as that’s pretty unusual from the many ebooks that I’ve bought and read. You have some amazing resources listed in the book, as well. I love the motivation (and inspirational) nuggets sprinkled throughout the ebook.

This is definitely one ebook that I will be referring to again and again when I make (and sell) my first ebook.

Thank you so much for the free ebook. It certainly is the “$mart Way” to creating an ebook.

    Pat,

Thank you for writing this ebook and giving it away. It has excellent content I know I can use. You’ve done more than just inspire me to finish what I’ve started … you’ve given me more tools to work with.

    Keep up the excellent work!

I just finished reading through your new ebook and it rocks! Having looked at a LOT of internet marketing related material, I can honestly tell you that the information you included and the visual look of the ebook provided more value and looked more professional than material I have paid for from some of the “big name” marketers. Thanks!

Very very very helpful Pat. Thanks so much. Your hype about this ebook got me thinking seriously about an ebook in my niche of furnished rentals. I’ve started writing and will now follow all your steps. Hope you can review the finished product Pat.

I am extremely excited about attacking the launch of my eBook in the next month with your suggestions in your eBook. I really hope to get some great feedback and maybe a little side money from this big launch I will be doing.

Thanks for all the free information!

    Pat,

Just finished your e-book… it’s the bees knees (very good). I sell printed guides (that include cds) and use Vervante to both print the book, press the cds and ship to customers.

For my next site I’m going strictly digital and I’m excited to see the differences.

Here’s a link to a similar button that might interest you… it’s like the one you use but on steroids.

Quick question– I use straight HTML/CSS for my sites but want to start using WordPress. I’ve heard that you can’t add an “add to cart” Pay Pal button on a WP blog because of Javascript security issues. Are you doing anything special to add the PP button?

Thanks for the response and the e-book.

Forgot to mention that you can also add video, audio, and flash files to a PDF document…. just watch those file sizes.

    Hi Pat,
Well, first let me say that I really enjoyed your ebook. If that’s FREE, what do you have that I can BUY?? Lot’s of good ideas, and more importantly, very inspiring. I actually feel like I can do this now!

I do have one complaint, however. Because I read a lot of PDFs, I purchased a Kindle. I can email the pdf to my Kindle and read it much more comfortably than I can on my iPhone or on my computer. Because of the way you’ve got your book formatted it doesn’t translate well to the Kindle. I ended up having to read it from my iPhone which would have been very difficult had your book been much longer. Your format is perfect for someone who is going to print it out, but not so good for all the other methods for reading available these days. It was very thoughtful of you to provide the B&W pdf, perhaps you could also provide a straight text pdf?

Anyway, I think you do great work! Thank you!

This is really good, fresh perspective on building a small business on selling ebooks, knowledge and your expertise.

Man, I am getting lot of questions from my own list where i sent out your interview with Darren Rowse at Pro Blogger and they were wondering if you could put together a timeline post on when you built the eBook/product and other website and things you did to promote it and then fill in the gaps with where the sales picked up.

Man, with a new baby how did you find the time to do this? That’s impressive.

I live in Orange, CA but visit my parents home in Scripps Ranch. Would love to buy you a coffee sometime to chat.

I talk with Chris McCombs and Andy Jenkins and we should meet up.

I heard about you from ProBlogger, way to go.

I went in the archives to the Oct ’08 post. I really like what you say about designing your lifestyle. I’ve had that thought in mind but now I have clarity.

Tim Feris was an inspiration to me to get into inventing.

Thanks so much for the free eBook.

Thanks man! Keep up the good work.

    Hi Pat

I just went through your e-book after downloading it. Publishing my own e-books is something that I wanted to do for a long time and your book has cleared up quite a few things I was wondering about.

I have two e-books ready for sale, but now I am glad that I had some issues that prevented me from actually putting them up on my site. I will do some editing by following some of the things you mentioned and then start creating a buzz about them after I fixed the other issue with the autoresponder that I had to remove from my blog a few weeks ago.

I find it particularly interesting that your confirmation and download pages redirect back to your site again and not to a stand alone page as well as providing the people who downloaded the e-book with the opportunity to leave comments. Smart thinking and promoting of your site again!

Mind if I borrow this idea from you!

BTW, this is my first time on your site and I already found some good information. Thank you for sharing in such a clear and informative way.

    Thanks.

    Hey Pat,

Awesome resource, thanks man! The part about the mind maps really made everything click for me.

Once you have the outline, the eBook just kind of writes itself.

I’m launching an eBook/course soon about how to make money designing websites, and this info has been priceless.

    Keep up the good work!

    Hi Pat,

Thank you so much for this free eBook. I have an idea for an eBook that has the potential to create a large income. I belong to a message board where there are over 100,000 members. There is a strong interest in this niche and I found that there are few resources. I could start a blog to get some buzz going as well as create some buzz on the forum. Your eBook has given me some great ideas on how to execute this idea.

Hi Pat, I just downloaded your eBook. It has got to be one ot the best eBooks that I have seen. The layout and design is fantastic the only thing better is the content!! You did a great job putting this information together!! Did you do the layout and design yourself? If so what program did you use to put it together??
I have just started working on my own eBook and this will help out a ton.
    Thanks for the quality material.

I plan on releasing my own ebook in the next week and I appreciate the advice you offered in your writing. Thanks!

I liked the landscape format but I found the three columns to be too much information to process at once. I liked it better when you mixed a three-column page with a couple 2-column designs.

    Pat,
I want to congragulate you on such a good book. It’s amazing the amount of information is on the web and that it is mostly junk, especially when you have to pay for it. It’s great to find a site that is not filled up with sales letters and bogus hype and offering a magic bullet. I will certainly keep up with your blog and take action with what I’ve learned from your ebook.

    Much Success,

    Dago

Hi Pat, thanks for creating such a great resources AND giving it away for FREE. I struggled to create our Nile Cruise Guide about 3 years ago and know that if I had had access to your eBook I would have saved so much time. The section on shopping carts and eJunkie are invaluable in themselves. Great job.

I just watched the video for the instant article factory and was blown away by this tool. Its a must have for me. I need this because I suck at writing articles. I have so much to say but it take me so much time to put in place. I have incomplete blogs and a website that I haven’t finished because of this. I have my twitter account (chloeprecious) that thank goodness I don’t need an article for that or else that would be on hold also. I’m new at this so I know I have a long way to go. As for you I think your content is the most helpful I’ve read in long time. Keep up the good work!
