A Valuable Resource for Bloggers and Internet Marketers Alike

I love podcasts. They’re a great way to consume useful (and often entertaining) information when I’m doing things like driving, running, or working out at the gym. That’s why I’m excited to start my own podcast soon, which I hope you’ll be a fan of once it is finally launched.

You’ve heard me talk about the Internet Business Mastery Podcast before – it’s really what motivated me to venture into the online world to make a successful living. It definitely deserves it’s ranking as the #1 Internet Business Podcast since 2005.

However, while on an iTunes search for more “blogging related” podcasts, I really wasn’t impressed with the results I found…

Until now.

A couple of months ago, I was contacted by a couple of guys to do an interview for a podcast that I had never heard of before. In preparing for the interview, I did some research about their podcast and what their mission was, and I was really impressed. I’m excited to share that resource with you today:

BlogCastFm: A Podcast For Bloggers, By Bloggers

BlogCastFM was started by Srinivas and Sid (readers of SPI who you may have seen in the comments section before), and they interview bloggers at all levels of experience and expertise who provide fantastic information and blogging tips for everyone to listen to.

During my interview with Srinivas, I was really blown away by the quality of questions that he asked and the overall flow of the conversation we recorded. It was fun, and I know anyone listening to any of the 33 recorded interviews in their archives will find them useful one way or another.

You can subscribe to their podcast in iTunes if you’d like, and if you have the time and you feel the content is useful, leave them a kind review.

Thanks again Srinivas and Sid for your hard work, and the great interviews.

Wishing you all the best, and have a great weekend! Stay tuned for my March Monthly Income Report this coming Monday!

Cheers!

Hey Pat!

Thanks so much for the vote of confidence. Srinivas and I really enjoyed having you on – I’m sure our listeners enjoyed it as much as I did when I was editing it and typing up the notes.

You’re one of the guys we’d been reading about for a while, and it was great to have you on to answer some “tough” questions ;) . Srinivas and I were just talking today about how we should bring you back on to dig deeper into your Facebook ninja marketing tactics.

Thanks again for coming on the podcast. We really appreciate the amount of information you shared with us – and had a blast with it!

Pat,

You are the man. Thanks so much for such a positive endorsement. You were an awesome interviewee with tons of really valuable advice. People like you are really the key the success of BlogcastFM and I hope you’ll consider returning for some of our later panel based podcasts that we’re in the process of discussing.

For the members of your audience: You should definitely listen to Pat’s interview because he really did an amazing job breaking down the story behind smart passive income and provided some immediately executable ideas regardless of where you are at with your blogging efforts.

Thanks again Pat. It was pleasure chatting with you.

I’ve been looking for a good podcast since I take the Bus to school. Thanks for the reference.

I’ll be looking forward to your podcast too Pat!

I will definitely check this out.

Pat – some of my favorite posts of yours are when you share resources like this, your favorite recent reads, etc. You always seem to find some great things I wouldn’t find on my own! Keep up the great work.

Not to be a “comment whore” – but this was a great interview, and I appreciate both BlogcastFM for doing it – and you for sharing it.

There’s seems to be some gold in the archives too – I’ve got em bookmarked, and as soon as I get done learning Italian, they’ll make their way into my ipod’s playlist.

Pat- you’ve made great strides, and I appreciate your integrity. Your free ebook on writing an e-book offers more value than some other ebooks written on the subject that cost $30-60.

I can’t wait to see what you do next.

Good stuffs guys! Saw it through your facebook fans page the other day, I’ll keep a look out for it ;-)

It actually seems like a blogger version of Mixergy! Good job.

@Ken: It’s funny you say that because we thought the same exact thing when we launched it :) .

hey pat,

i’m currently writing an ebook and I was looking at your sales pitch for the green exam ebook. My question is, my ebook is only about 15 pages long, should I still show screen shots on my landing page, or will it look stupid since there isn’t that big of a table of contents?

David Rachford April 4, 2010 at 12:29 pm

You might want to clarify a bit:

Is the ebook a “Lead Generator” – or a freebie given to build your list?
Or is the ebook for sale?

You might want to show the table of contents like:
The 7 Reasons this book will Blah Blah Blah
The Simple Two step process that will blah blah blah

in lieu of show screen shots of the ebook, you might be better off outlining the benefits of either downloading or purchasing the ebook.

Check out Pat’s post when he launched his ebook – a creative way of getting testimonials through twitter: http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/ebooks-the-smart-way/

Thanks for the info. I’ve been searching (apparently not very well) for a podcast that addresses blogging at all levels, not just the million dollar businesses. Feverishly downloading now.

Hi Pat I am really looking forward to having a listen to the Podcast. We all should be looking for as many Passive Income streams as possible.I believe It is Important that we have a degree of healthy skeptisism towards all forms of Passive Income. As long as you do your research you will be able to make an Informed decision.Active Income(trading time for money) is usually where some one else is pulling your strings is a form of slavery which we all deserve to be free of.I found some Excellent forms of Passive Income also which I have revealed on my website http://www.iwillb3.com.
All the very best.

I also think podcasts are a good way to reach your readers in a personal level. In addition, it’s a new way to provide content that is already existing as a written blog post in your site.

I was glad to find BlogcastFm. It good for bloggers to have a podcast where you can listen to other people who have gone through the stages you are going through or may eventually experience.

Some blogs take off and start making money right away. Then, there are others where it takes longer to get there. Most people will quit in between. IMO, this is good because it weeds out people who aren’t passionate about what they are writing about. For example, I remembered listening to a podcast yesterday where the interviewee said that her business plan didn’t call for her to be making money for 2 years. She is obviously in a niche she is passionate about. How else could you stick with it for 2 years and not be. I
