“How will you know when you’ve reached financial success?”
This was a question that was asked on twitter by Jay (@jasonvo), who is one of the co-founders of the Internet Business Mastery Podcast and Academy. It was a question that really had me thinking for almost an hour about how I would know when I’ve reached financial success.

iCaption Mobile is a little project I’ve been working on for the last – oh, 3 or 4 months. I haven’t told anyone except my business partner at LOLer Apps about it, but I finally got the Beta Version today and would like to share it with you and give you a little preview of what’s to come.

So I have a couple of blogs, a few affiliate websites, a couple of eBooks and an audio guide on my resume, and I’m hoping to add another product within a month that will add HUGE potential to my income stream. An online class.
This is a monumental undertaking for me, because it involves audio, video presentations, transcripts, worksheets, integration of a membership platform, and all of the marketing that goes along with it. It should be fun!
My plan is to sell this online class (or upsell it with a discount from those who purchase my study guide) and have it be the most dynamic and user friendly study resource for the LEED exam. It is a lot of work, but the potential for earning thousands a day is there, if I do it right.

It’s one thing to say your product or website is great, but your credibility reaches a whole new level when someone else says the same thing.
Promoting testimonials and proof that your material is worthwhile and definitely something you should showcase whenever possible. If there’s a customer who may be right on the edge of buying your product or a reader who may be thinking about subscribing to your email list, proof of other people’s satisfaction and success could be that little nudge for them to click “add to cart” or enter their email address.
Here are some ways you can think about promoting your own website or products that truly work.

That’s right! I’m looking for a publisher for an idea I have for a book, which I would love to turn into a series if all goes according to plan my dreams.
Although I’ve always stated that publishing an electronic book is the way to go (because of the fact that they are easy to create, easy to automate and very cost-effective), one of my life long goals is to see a book on the shelves of a major bookstore with my name on the front cover. With an idea in my head and my motivation levels high (as always), I think now is the time to start pursuing this goal.
I’m not going to tell you exactly what my idea is (I’m sorry!), but I can tell you it does involve the internet, social networking, and possibly you! Now I bet you’re really wondering what it is…but don’t worry, I will tell you eventually.

On the Internet Business Mastery Podcast Blog, there’s an interesting debate going on, and it involves a little bit of what I do online. There are tons of very interesting comments and a lot of rage about the subject of outsourcing.
On one hand, online businesses outsource many tasks overseas because you really can’t beat the price. As I mentioned in a previous post, I had hired someone from the Philippines for $2.22/hour to do some web research for me. Hiring someone in the U.S. would cost me a lot more, and a lot of businesses rely on these low wages in order to succeed. In other words, many online businesses would not survive if it wasn’t for outsourcing.
On the other hand, outsourcing takes business and money away from within the U.S. Many people are losing jobs to people overseas who can do the same work for far less. Also, people are saying that paying someone $2/hour is just wrong and immoral.

Ok, this income report is a little late, but it is for good reason – I had a lot of work to do this past week. It’s kind of funny how making a living online works sometimes, especially if it’s through the means of passive income. For days, weeks, or even months, you may only need to work a few hours a week. However, in most cases that never lasts forever. So, you’ll need to spend a day, a week or even a month working hard once again before you can get back to just a few hours a week.
The difficult part, that I’m just learning about, is trying to get back into “hardcore work mode.” It’s like going back to school after a long summer vacation. You don’t want to do it, but you have to – and eventually you get back into the groove, which is where I was last week.
Anyways, here’s my June 2009 monthly income report.

Hey folks! Don’t worry, I didn’t fall off the boat 120 miles from shore – I’m still here.
I had a great fishing trip. It was really nice to get out on the water again. My dad and I ended up catching 6 fish between the two of us (1 yellowtail and 5 albacore), which was actually a lot compared to most of the boat.
Since the version of the LEED exam I had material for has recently expired, I’ve been working hard the last couple of days to finish a complete overhaul of intheleed.com. It’s not live yet, but I expect in a couple of hours, it should be ready to go. I’ll keep adding material to it as I go along, but all of the old stuff is now outdated and is archived.
Because of this, I expcet a major blow to my July earnings report, but this is expected due to the timing of everything. I have a couple of things in the works that should hopefully bring me back to where I was in just a few months – but we’ll see.
Again, I’m just writing this really quick to apologize for not posting something sooner. As I said, I’m working overtime on intheleed.com. My next post will be the monthly report as well as a detailed analysis of the redesign (I hired a professional web designer for top quality design, and they really pulled through!) and other news about the baby maker iphone application and many other things as well.
Thanks for your patience, and I hope you had a great 4th of July weekend!
Hey everyone. I just wanted to give you a heads up that my dad and I will be embarking on a 3 day deep sea fishing trip today. We’re taking a boat out of Pt. Loma Sportfishing in San Diego down to Mexico to hopefully catch some albacore, yellowtail, and maybe even a bluefin tuna.
My dad and I used to go fishing a lot. One summer I think we almost went out in the ocean every weekend. It’s been a long time though, since I did the whole graduate from high school, go to college and get married thing, but I’m really looking forward to spending some quality time with my dad. Maybe I could get some parenting advice from him now that I’m going to be a father myself, because he was definitely a great dad.
Here’s to Dads all around the world!
p.s. I’ll report my July income once I get back.
